CodyAfter my 15 year old dog lost his year long battle with liver cancer, I found the cutest puppy. His father is 90% Canadian Timber wolf mixed with Husky and his mother is 90% Timber wolf mixed with Shepherd. This little bouncing ball of fur came running up to me and jumped up with dirty paws and claimed me for his. I named him Cody. His markings are so distinctive wolf and he is so beautiful. I have had him for about a month now and he has learned to sit, shake, lay, down, up, sit up, no chew, don't chase the cats, no, go potty outside, and who Mommy is. Every night he sleeps with me and snuggles his nose in my hair and sniffs my ear and makes little noises before he goes to sleep and gives me sweet kisses and in return expects a beloved tummy rub ( and a kiss too!!). Cody is quite the little hunter and has jumped in the air to catch a frog jumping into the water, he has almost caught a rabbit, and likes to chase little animals like squirrels and chase fire flies in the evening. He is very quick and alert. His paws are humongous and his little legs are thick and getting longer everyday. When he stands on his hind legs he can put his little hands on the counter and look around, Mom's little helper he is -ha ha I took him for a midnight walk in the park tonight and a lot of animals don't like him. Normally the deer stand and watch people as they pass or get extremely quiet, a deer saw him and it started barking and stomping its front legs and was mad. An owl followed us from tree to tree and made clicking noises at us. It is funny how these animals instinctively know what Cody is. He is so little and innocent right now, he has no idea of what is going on. He thinks he is a dog (for now). My house sits on a hill and on the side is a steep bank that when it rains becomes a stream. It is dried up now and I take Cody down there to play. Coming up the bank yesterday Cody was way ahead of me running and I was behind and my foot slipped and my first reaction was to holler and Cody looked back and saw that I had fallen and he came running towards me and looked scared and stood there looking at me. People say a hybrid can not be fully tamed, but I disagree. I think with a lot of love and caring, Cody will be an excellent pet and in time be very protective of his Mom. He loves me and respects Alpha Mom.
